We read that whenever Benjamin Franklin had to make an important decision he would draw a line down the center of a piece of paper and create two columns. On one side he would list the positive reasons why he should do something and on the other the negatives why he shouldn’t do it. He would then compare the lists – if the positives outweighed the negatives, he would make that decision and vice versa.
